Meetings

The Palm Beaches chapter holds meetings the third Wednesday of every month from September to May. Meetings are designed to inform and educate technical communicators about issues, trends, and tools related to their profession.

Meetings are free to members and guests. There is an optional hospitality fee ($3.00 for members and $5.00 for guests) for the networking portion of the meeting.

Networking and light snacks begin at 6:30 p.m. The business portion of the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m., consisting of business announcements and a round of introductions. The speaker is introduced about 7:15 p.m. The meetings conclude at 8:30 p.m.

	The Palm Beaches chapter will have our first teleconference with Indianapolis. The remote speaker will be Scott Abel. Scott Abel is a content management strategist and structured content evangelist whose strengths lie in helping organizations improve the way they author, maintain, publish, and archive their information assets. Scott’s website, TheContentWrangler.com, is a popular online resource for technical and business writers with an interest in content management. A founding member of Content Management Professionals (CM Pros), Scott currently serves as vice president of the organization.
